Like many of you, I am outraged by what Scott Walker has done to our state. The Wisconsin that I moved to over a decade ago to raise my family is not the same as the Wisconsin of today. When elected I promise to fight for all of us to get our state back.

Public Education

As a mother of two children in public school and a wife of a UW-Madison professor, I am as upset as you with what has been done to public education. Instead of making cuts, we need to reinvest in our children’s future by supporting public schools. When elected I will fight to:

  • Reinvest in Public Schools, not continue devastating cuts
  • Restore funding to UW-System & Technical Colleges
  • Stop sending public dollars to private, unaccountable voucher schools

Women’s Rights

In Wisconsin we’ve seen a true war on women’s rights. I’ve been fighting my entire life for the rights of women and when elected I will champion protecting and restoring those rights. When elected I will fight to:

  • Repeal the invasive ultrasound bill
  • Restore funding for groups like Planned Parenthood that support women’s health
  • Introduce legislation to create pay equity in Wisconsin

Jobs & Economy

Over the last several years, we’ve seen states’s around Wisconsin succeed, while our state continues to struggle and the budgets of middle class families have continued to shrink. When elected, I will work to ensure our economy is working for everyone, not just the wealthy few. When elected I will fight to:

  • Grow our economy by supporting middle class families
  • Stop tax breaks for the wealthy few
  • Invest in worker training and public education

Wisconsin is known for it’s abundance of natural beauty. From clean rivers and lakes, to forests and prairies, Wisconsin is truly a beautiful place to live. However, our environment has been threatened lately by people more concerned about pleasing wealthy donors than protecting our natural resources. When elected I will fight to:

  • Limit the number of high capacity wells
  • Ensure all Wisconsinites have access to clean drinking water
  • Support a strong and independent DNR
